Emma has been writting beautiful letters to everyone of us, especially Yung (Too bad, I used to be the one to whom she addressed in her daily school letters).

The following are two samples:

Dear Yung,

Ever since you were born you were so cute and you still are. But I also like how you are funny caus you sometimes kick your legs and your feet out in a snap and pull them back slowly, and when I kiss your lips you start sucking my lips

-- To my yucky little brother

Dear Louie,

Happy birthday. I hope it's going to be fun. It should! But first tell my mom to wear a party dress. She always wears plan black things

-- To my even taller dad

Dear Yung ...

We made our annual inspection for surviving plantation. The final report was mixed. Good news first; all our tries survived, even Grandma's apple tree that was made from a seed of an
apple that we had eaten. Unfortunately we had some causalities; some of our flowers didn't make it through the brutal winter.

This year we are implementing plan b. Instead of buying flowers, we decided to buy flower bulbs. It was a cold and windy Spring day but it wasn't enough to stop Emma, Annya and myself from doing our Spring planting. We pulled out the dead flowers and planted the new flower bulbs. Hopefully in the Summer we will see new signs of life.

Annya and I will be celebrating our birthdays soon. She will be 3 and I will be over 30. Emma and Annya are making the invitation cards. On Annya's birthday we are planning a one day trip; the following day we we have dinner with family.

Yung is getting bigger and more observant. He is on a one day on schedule and a one day off schedule. He will stay awake for a good part of the day on one day but needs to sleep the whole second day to make up for the first day.

One evening we were eating at a restaurant. Emma wants to order a soft drink on her own. I give her a five dollar bill. She returns with her soft drink and brings back 4 dollar bills and change. Emma then says, Daddy I'm getting better at ordering my own stuff. Yes you are Emma. I have a question Daddy. After I paid the cashier for the soft drink, why did the cashier give me more money back. What do you mean Emma? I gave the cashier 1 Bill and she then gave me back 4 Bills. Why did she give me back more bills if I paid for the drink? Emma you are a great reader, we need to work on your math skills.

Annya continues to learn more Spanish and can even sing some songs in Spanish. We signed her up for Summer sports and she had a great time. She even got a new pair of gym shoes out of the deal.

Yung continues to pack on the pounds. He now gives us daily smiles. His favorite saying is ah ya. Hoping we have a long warm happy Summer with the kids.
